Camps and Excursions Program
“Adventure, Discovery, and Growth: Unlocking New Horizons Beyond the Classroom”
At Mullauna College, the learning adventure goes far beyond the classroom! Our camps, challenge activities, and excursions offer students thrilling opportunities to explore, discover, and learn in exciting, real-world settings.
Excursions are a vital part of our program, bringing classroom lessons to life. Whether it’s diving into Melbourne’s rich history at the museum, stepping into the shoes of a lawyer during court trials, delving into research at the iconic State Library, or navigating the bustling aisles of Victoria Market, each experience adds depth to students’ learning and sparks curiosity.
Our school camps take this one step further, blending education with unforgettable outdoor adventures. The Year 7 Transition Camp is a key part of welcoming our new students into the Mullauna community, offering them a fun and supportive environment to forge new friendships, build confidence, and feel at home in their new school.
For those seeking excitement and personal growth, our adventure camps challenge students to step outside their comfort zone, developing resilience, teamwork, and leadership skills while having fun. These camps encourage students to push themselves, discover new strengths, and create lifelong memories.
Our Year 10 Central Australia trip sends students into the heart of the country, where they explore the rich historical and cultural heritage of this vast land. From Uluru to Alice Springs, students experience the beauty and significance of Australia’s outback while deepening their understanding of our national identity.
Finally, the Year 12 Study Camp sets the foundation for our senior students as they embark on their final year of schooling. This camp is a pivotal moment, helping students prepare mentally and academically for the year ahead, while also fostering a sense of camaraderie and focus as they tackle the challenges of Year 12 together.
At Mullauna, we offer a range of camps that combine learning, adventure, and personal growth, creating lasting memories and equipping our students with lifelong skills.

If you hold a valid means-tested Centrelink concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families.
The allowance is paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, sports and excursions for the benefit of your child. The annual CSEF amount per student is $225 for secondary school students.
CSEF must be re-applied for each year. Contact the school office to obtain a CSEF application form or download the form from https://www.education.vic.gov.au/about/programs/Pages/csef.aspx
